The 2014 edition of Red Dot Fair in Miami’s burgeoning Wynwood District – premieres Tuesday-December 2 through Sunday-December 7, 2014 and continues to draw praise from collectors, gallerists, critics, the media and visitors. With an expanded public and a vibrantly diverse line-up of fine artists and exhibitors representing over sixty galleries; Red Dot’s programming is matched only by the top tier quality of the works exhibited. The 8th Red Dot Fair is being described by many as the strongest to date due in part to it’s longevity and keen eye of it’s organizers.
Despite rumors to the contrary, Red Dot Art Fair is pleased to announce its 8th edition will return to the same prime location in the Wynwood Art District in Miami, December 2–7, 2014. As in year’s past the affair will run concurrent with Art Basel-Miami Beach. Building upon its enviable reputation as a diverse fair, Red Dot offers a unique selection of approximately sixty international galleries exhibiting contemporary painting, sculpture, photography and second market show stoppers.
Red Dot Art Fair strives to create an Art Fair for galleries specializing in emerging, mid-career and established artists that present work of lasting value. The luxurious layout of the fifty thousand square foot venue provides visitors with a sophisticated and friendly environment to view artwork presented by galleries and dealers. Red Dot is excited about being part of Miami’s vibrant art scene and its great fabric of galleries, museums and cultural institutions. Guests have included: Adrien Brody, Beyonce, Julian Lennon, Jane Seymour, Will Smith, Sam Champion and other high profile individuals.
The opening reception on Tuesday, December 2nd, will benefit Center for Autism & Related Disabilities of Miami. An estimated 3000 art aficionados, serious collectors and culinary celebrants are expected to attend the opening night gala Tuesday, December 2, 2014 from 6-10 PM in association with South Florida’s most renowned restaurants and gourmet chefs. The hallmark affaire is organized in part by ArtBasil.org whose founders unanimously agree on one cohesive point, “that serious ‘art’ appreciation is made more palatable with Miami’s restaurants sampling their made on-the-spot ‘gourmet bites’ prepared by internationally acclaimed chefs and paired with signature spirits and libations!”, confirms ArtBasil co-founder Andrea Guardino.
