Avnet Velocity’s Wade McDaniel to Present at The Logistics & Supply Chain Forum

Avnet, Inc. (NYSE:AVT), a leading global technology distributor, today announced that Wade McDaniel, vice president of solutions architecture, Avnet Velocity, will be a featured speaker at The Logistics & Supply Chain Forum. The conference will be held at the Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale at Troon North in Scottsdale, Ariz. on November 2-4, 2014. McDaniel will present a session, titled “Does an Omnichannel Really Exist in the Industrial Space?”

During his session on Monday, November 3, McDaniel will discuss how logistics organizations can apply an omnichannel approach to the industrial supplier space. He will also explain how to define warehouse, handling and transportation requirements for specific customer segments to create a positive impact on cost and service models.

“B2B companies are increasingly adopting an omnichannel approach to meet the growing needs of their customers and enhance the value of their supply chains,” said McDaniel. “As these organizations create more services, an omnichannel approach is integral to creating additional value for customers. McDaniel leads the Avnet Velocity team’s efforts in designing and implementing supply chain solutions for Avnet and its customers. His expertise includes supply chain engineering, supply chain finance, warehouse management and worldwide transportation logistics. He has more than 25 years of supply chain experience in the high-tech industry. In 2008, McDaniel was named to Supply & Demand Chain Executive’s Pros to Know list.

The Logistics & Supply Chain Forum provides attendees with new perspectives and points of view on the supply chain industry through expert industry insight. Attendees will also discuss new technologies and money saving strategies for enhancing their supply chain.
