Pelican Point Capital Partners, LLC., announces the appointment of Sean Mulhearn as an adviser to its board. “Sean’s global perspective and leadership of various commodities businesses at global powerhouses such as ANZ, Citigroup, Merrill Lynch, Standard Chartered and JP Morgan to name a few, coupled with his keen aptitude for risk management, will be a game changer for our breadth and reach in our global commodities practice,” said Ike Suri, Co-CEO and Co-Founder.

Sean is the founder and CEO of Jacaranda Capital Partners Pte Ltd, a Singapore based boutique investment, advisory and corporate training company with offices in Singapore and Sydney. Prior to founding Jacaranda Sean was Global Head of Commodity Sales and Global Head of Commodity Finance and Structuring at ANZ based in Singapore from 2011-2014. He was also Head of Commodity Sales (Fixed Income) at JPM Morgan Singapore from 2009-2011 and was Global Head of Commodities Sales at Standard Chartered Bank in Singapore from 2006-2009. From 1999 to 2006 he was based in New York where he worked for Merrill Lynch in the Structured Commodity Finance business and Citigroup where he worked for 20 years in various roles including Global Head of Commodities Finance, Global Head of commodity derivatives sales, Head of Asian Commodities and Head of Australian Fixed Income and Interest Rate Derivatives.

Sean has created, implemented and instructed business leaders in his risk management courses globally where many banks, corporations and government agencies have sought his perspective. His global network will be a key asset in driving Pelican, its clients and its partners’ success in the commodities space as Pelican looks to expand its presence in soy, sugar, oil & gas and precious metals both in physical trading and in terms of structuring innovative financing alternatives.
