November's Los Angeles Auto Show will play host to many debuts, including the refreshed 2016 Ford Explorer SUV.
PRLog - Nov. 10, 2014 - BURNS HARBOR, Ind. -- With the 2014 LA Auto Show on its way later this month, Lake Shore Ford is excited to announce a new debut for the show: the 2016 Ford Explorer. Ford's family-friendly SUV is in its fifth generation, and while it is not due for a complete overhaul yet, it looks like the speculated refresh is going to debut this November.

While Ford has been tight-lipped on just what will be changed on their 2016 Explorer, spy photos have leaked out and Ford experts have discerned at least a few things readers can expect from the new model.

Right now, expectations for the new Explorer are high, and with new front and rear end revisions as well as updated fascia, grille, and headlights, it looks to be borrowing quite a bit from the2015 Ford Edge. This new streamlined, curvier look is a bit of a departure from the old Explorer, but the Edge has been gaining popularity, so it isn't too big of a surprise.

Of course, the Explorer is about more than just looks, and the 2016 model seems like it will become more capable than ever before with new available driver-assist technologies and the potential for a new tactile interface infotainment system.

Jim Farley, Ford executive vice president of global marketing explained some of the changes, saying, “The new Explorer is still the SUV America fell in love with – a vehicle built for the perfect family adventure. Explorer is the foundation of Ford’s full line of award-winning utility vehicles, which is helping the Ford brand grow around the world.”

In the meantime, drivers can check out the 2015 Ford Explorer at Lake Shore Ford. And for more information on the 2016 Ford Explorer SUV, including when it may be available to Indiana area drivers, readers have been asked to contact the sales team at Lake Shore Ford.
