A4A Commends Presidential Signature of Bipartisan Bill Protecting Travelers From Unjust Tax Hike

Airlines for America (A4A), the industry trade organization for the leading U.S. airlines, today commended President Obama for signing legislation restoring the round-trip cap on the passenger security tax into law, thereby saving passengers over $60 million annually.

“President Obama’s decision to sign this bill into law will benefit millions of airline customers who are already paying more than their fair share in federal taxes,” said A4A President and CEO Nicholas E. Calio. “We commend the President, along with the bipartisan, bicameral leadership in Congress, for putting the traveling public first by ensuring the round-trip tax cap remains in place.”
