“How to Change Minds” Workshop

Best-selling author and speaker, Rob Jolles, hosts workshops on influencing behavior without manipulation.
PRLog - Jan. 22, 2015 - WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Rob Jolles, a global expert on persuasion and best-selling author, will host a workshop Feb.25 and 26, 2015 at the Washington Dulles Airport Marriot.

The all-day workshops will teach attendees the art of influencing behavior through proven techniques and practices. Jolles illuminates the workshop with original research from his ongoing study, spanning three decades and four continents, on how people make choices and decisions when changing, or perhaps not changing, minds. Participants will leave with repeatable, predictable processes that are based on over 25 years of research, refinement, and delivery.

“Influence without manipulation,” Jolles explained, “isn’t a pitch. It’s a process.”

Over 23 years ago, Jolles Associates, Inc. conducted an ongoing poll that surveyed his workshop and seminar attendees. They discovered 79% of the participants were aware of various problems that existed, but felt little to no urgency to commit to a change in behavior.  Just as surprising was the fact that less than 5% of those polled felt the solution they had in place was in fact the perfect solution.

Jolles describes that despite well-intentioned efforts in persuasion, people fundamentally fear change. By defining how people make decisions, Jolles teaches individuals how to help others overcome their fear of change by solving problems as opposed to pitching their own goals. In showing participants not just the hows but the whys, Jolles stirs individuals and organizations to create real, lasting change.

The workshops will be held at the Washington Dulles Airport Marriott in Dulles, Virginia at 45020 Aviation Drive. Cost for one-day school is $1,100 per attendee and $1,500 per attendee for the two-day school. Attendees can register at http://jolles.com/jollesacademy.php.
