New FDA-Approved Filler Restylane Silk Comes to Naples Cosmetic Practice

"Restylane Silk is a soft tissue filler that's injected under the thin membrane of the lip," Dr. Hasen says. "It's premixed with the anesthetic lidocaine so that patients remain quite comfortable during the procedure."

According to the manufacturer, Restylane Silk has smaller particles than other fillers in the Restylane family of products, which have been used to fill wrinkles around the face for years. "I find that the smaller particles make Restylane Silk easier to inject and better suited for the delicate lip area," Dr. Hasen says. "I also find it results in less swelling after treatment."

He says he's excited to now be able to add this tool to the array of non-surgical treatments he offers. He often combines injectable fillers with BOTOX Cosmetic injections and other services at his Naples practice to give patients a complete facial rejuvenation. The results can be remarkable, he says, without the downtime required of more invasive procedures.
