The Shuman Law Firm announces that it is investigating potential claims against certain officers and directors of Rayonier Inc. (“Rayonier” or the “Company”) (NYSE: RYN). Rayonier is a Florida-based company that engages in the sale and development of real estate and timberland management, as well as in the production and sale of cellulose fibers.

The Firm’s investigation relates to the Company’s November 10, 2014, announcement that Rayonier's interim consolidated financial statements for the quarters ended March 31, 2014 and June 30, 2014 would be restated and should no longer be relied upon. In a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Company cited a “material weakness in [its] internal controls related to the merchantable timber inventory.” This resulted in an overstatement of income from continuing operations during the quarterly periods ended March 31, 2014 and June 30, 2014 of approximately $2 million per period. Rayonier’s common stock fell approximately 15% on this news.
