Verdantis Signs American Electric Power as Customer for Automated Material Master Data Management Solutions

Verdantis, Inc., the leader in Automated Material Master Data Management (Material MDM) Solutions announced the addition of one of the largest electric utilities in the United States – American Electric Power (NYSE:AEP) – as its customer. AEP has signed a 5 year deal to license Verdantis Harmonize® and Verdantis Integrity®.

AEP will use Verdantis Harmonize® to standardize and classify approximately 400,000 item descriptions, enrich legacy data and identify form-fit-function duplicates via non-source enrichment to unlock procurement and inventory related savings. Harmonize encapsulates over a decade’s worth of MRO data quality improvement expertise into a self-service, spreadsheet-free platform for end-user organizations.

Verdantis Integrity® empowers users with an Amazon-like interface to search materials, items and parts within and across facilities.
