Yanmar Explains the Power and Eco-Sensitivity of Its Diesel Engine Technology on Corporate Review

By: Get News
Yanmar is a global company with more than a century of tradition of producing environmentally sensitive diesel engines.

March 5, 2015 – Boca Raton, FL — Ted Bregar, Chairman of Yanmar America Corporation, began his interview with Corporate Review by noting, “The biggest challenge in today’s small engine segment is centered on ensuring environmental protection. While reciprocating engines are integral to our way of life, there are natural concerns over their impact on the environment. We like to let people know that modern diesel engines produce fewer CO2 emissions than any other internal combustion engine. Additionally, the diesel particulate filter also eliminates the majority of harmful emissions.” Tune in to watch the Yamar segment airing on Bloomberg International (as pd. prog) on March 8, 2015 at 7:00am GMT. Ken Okuyama, Director of Yanmar Holdings Co., LTD., added to the comments of Bregar, “The air coming out of our engines is normally cleaner than the ambient air around the operating engine. This focus on eco-sensitivity was pioneered by our founder in 1933 when he said, ‘To save fuel is to serve mankind.’”

Yanmar has a long history in the power industry, manufacturing small industrial engines since 1912. The company produced the first commercially viable small diesel-powered engine in 1933. Yanmar is a leader in production of construction and agricultural equipment and is a global company with offices in 17 countries.

Okuyama concluded the interview by explaining, “We focus our engineering efforts on an effort to balance the performance of each engine with the emissions it produces. While we are never the cheapest option, we seek to always offer the highest quality. Our customers turn to us because of our ongoing success of conserving fuel by producing efficient, powerful, and clean diesel engines. While diesel engines are the core of our business, we are actively working to improve motive efficiency in all aspects of vehicles, boats and motor-driven systems.”

Vice President of Programming of Corporate Review, JL Haber, introduced the new interview with, “Our mission is to introduce our viewers to corporations with innovative and effective solutions to existing business problems. Yanmar’s focus on environmentally responsible power makes it an important player in the diesel engine market.” To learn more, watch the Yamar segment airing on Bloomberg International (as pd. prog) on March 8, 2015 at 7:00am GMT.
