The social media campaign’s message about the Outlander’s advanced safety systems continues at Jeremy Franklin Mitsubishi
PRLog - March 6, 2015 - One of the first things you’ll hear about the 2015 Mitsubishi Outlander when you visit Jeremy Franklin Mitsubishi, a premier Kansas City, MO area Mitsubishi dealer, is that this well-rounded crossover is one of the safest vehicles in its class. That’s the same message that swept through social media networks on Super Bowl Sunday when Mitsubishi launched its #ProtectThePie campaign.

As just about everyone knows, Super Bowl Sunday is the busiest pizza delivery day of the year. Consequently, according to Mitsubishi, studies conducted by insurance companies have discovered that Super Bowl Sunday sees more pizza-related car accidents than any other day in the year.

To highlight this, Mitsubishi provided the delivery driver at DaCoopa’s Pizza & Subs in Boston with a brand new 2015 Outlander GT for the day. A video team followed the driver, John Francis, as he made pizza deliveries navigating the wintery Boston streets that featured more than two feet of snow due to recent storms.

The Outlander performed like a champ, while live tweeting and social posts throughout the big game kept tabs on the pizza deliveryman’s busiest day of the year.

In a press release regarding the campaign, William Gelner, Chief Creative Officer at Mitsubishi’s ad agency said, “Protecting the things that you love is very important to Mitsubishi Motors. Though #ProtectThePie is a light-hearted nod to that message, it still drives home the larger central message of safety.”

The 2015 Outlander is one of the few vehicles capable of carrying that message home. Winner of the highest possible Top Safety Pick+ award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), the Outlander is equipped with a forward collision warning/mitigation system. Usually only available on higher end vehicles, this advanced safety system employs radar sensors to detect and avert a possible collision before it happens. When the possibility of a collision is imminent, audio and visual signals alert the driver, and automatic emergency braking kicks in to help avoid a serious accident.

Along with this advanced safety system, the Outlander offers a full menu of standard vehicle safety features including a full array of airbags, stability and traction control, and hill start assist. There are 4 models of the 7-passenger Mitsubishi Outlander crossover to choose from, with prices ranging from about $20,000 to $30,000.

The folks at Jeremy Franklin Mitsubishi are always happy to provide information about all that the 2015 Mitsubishi Outlander has to offer. Contact their dealership to learn more. They are located at 6300 E. 87th St., just east of I-435, in Kansas City, MO.
