Avnet Government Solutions Expands Its GSA Schedule to Include HP Solutions

Avnet Technology Solutions, the global IT solutions distribution leader and an operating group of Avnet, Inc. (NYSE: AVT), today announced that Avnet Government Solutions, LLC, its wholly owned subsidiary focused on the U.S. public sector, has expanded its General Services Administration (GSA) schedule to include HP technology products and solutions. This will allow Avnet Government Solutions to better serve its government (federal, state and local) and education partners, and broaden their offerings for the public sector. The addition of HP to Avnet Government Solutions’ GSA schedule gives partners access to the federal government’s largest Government-Wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC), which agencies use to purchase innovative solutions for their IT needs, without making the investments to hold their own contract.

Launched last June as a new business to help independent software vendor (ISV), systems integrator (SI) and value-added reseller (VAR) partners capture IT market share with the U.S. government, Avnet Government Solutions focuses on the federal, state, local and education markets via its holistic approach to pursuing these market opportunities – combining business development and capture and compliance assistance with Avnet’s more than 90 years of technology distribution expertise.
