April 6, 2015 – Alt rock band Smashing Pumpkins and shock rocker Marilyn Manson seem to have finally put to bed their on-off feuding to embark on a 23-date summer tour across the U.S.
The co-headliners will kick off their End Times tour at the Concord Pavilion, California, and wrap at the Riverbend Music Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. In between they’ll be touching down in Las Vegas, Nevada, Phoenix, Arizona, New Orleans, Louisiana, and Boston, Massachusetts, among other cities. Tickets for the tour, which is being promoted by Live Nation Entertainment, go on sale on April 3.
Marilyn Manson has already been out on the road this year with his Hell Not Hallelujah tour in support of his 9th studio album, The Pale Emperor, released last year. However, the End Times tour will be the longest run of performing dates that Billy Corrigan and co. will have played since their 2013 world tour in support of comeback album Oceania. They did turn out for a few gigs with the December 2014 release of Monuments to an Elegy. For those shows Rage Against the Machine’s Brad Wilk turned up on drums while The Killers’ Mark Stoermer stepped in on bass. Manson himself joined the Pumpkins at concerts in London and Sydney, adding vocals on the band’s ‘Ava Adore’ and performing his own single ‘Third Day of a Seven Day Binge’. His appearance put an end to the speculation that he and Corrigan are not on speaking – or singing – terms, following a decades-long feud.
With Corrigan the only original member of the Smashing Pumpkins left, it’s unclear as to who will now be joining him and Jeff Schroeder (Pumpkins guitarist since 2007), as band members on the road. Though possibly Wilk and Stoermer will join the line-up, they have yet to be confirmed.
