MORRISSEY ANNOUNCES NEW US TOUR WITH TWO SPECIAL GUESTS

April 6, 2015 – Morrissey announces a return to the USA for a new 18-date which will include guest appearances by Blondie and Amanda Palmer.

The announcement, which Morrissey posted on fan-site, True To You, claimed that he will continue promoting his album World Peace is None of Your Business, which he had withdrawn from US digital retailers last year, with a two month American tour that kicks off in New Orleans on June 11.  As part of the tour, the British-born singer will also touchdown at Madison Square Garden where New Wave superstars, Blondie, will support, before wrapping up business at  the San Jose Event Center, San Jose, with punk-cabaret songstress Amanda Palmer on opener duties.

The U.S. dates will follow 5 sold out evenings at the Sydney Opera House, Sydney, Australia, and for some fans may make up for last year’s premature cancelation of the latter half of his North American tour.  Though Moz is no stranger to the more-than-occasional canceled tour date, he blamed the 2014 withdrawn dates on a respiratory infection he said he contracted from support act, Kristeen Young.  Young, for her part, released a statement that she had allergies not influenza, of which everyone on tour was aware, but that she had been dropped from the tour nonetheless.

Still, here’s hoping that Blondie and Palmer have a clean bill of health before joining the ambassador of angst this summer!
