PRLog - April 27, 2015 - PLYMOUTH, Mich. -- Resinate Materials Group® announced today that Brian Chermside has been appointed company President, an addition to his current role of Chief Operating Officer.
Chermside assumes the role of President from Brian Phillips, who maintains his role as Resinate’s Chief Executive Officer and Chairman. In his extended role, Chermside will lead Resinate’s operational and strategic activities.
“Brian came to Resinate with a wealth of experience in the specialty chemicals industry,” said Phillips. “With his guidance, we have made exciting progress building our operational and technical capabilities as a pioneer of recycled content chemistry.”
Chermside joined Resinate in 2013, after most recently serving as Corporate Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer of Dow Corning Corporation. While at Dow Corning, he served in leadership roles in Asia, Europe and the United States, and was instrumental in spearheading business-to-business market strategies for new and existing brands, including the successful XIAMETER® brand. Chermside has a Bachelor of Business and Administration from Central Michigan University (CMU) and a Master of Business Administration from Youngstown University. He is a supporter of Junior Achievement and has served as a Member of the Worldwide Board of Directors for the organization.
In his extended role, Mr. Chermside will continue to be located at Resinate’s Plymouth, Michigan headquarters.
