Colorado Tire Corporation's Written Response to Reporter's Interview

It is understandable that some people always desire to know information whether it is related to them or not. This Interview provides information on CTC for the community where the newspaper is located.

SEATTLE, WA , May 22, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- On May 20, 2015, the news reporter from Billings Gazette ("Reporter") wrote to Colorado Tire Corporation ("CTC") for a number of questions so that Billings Gazette could write a story about Kono Building for its local readers in eastern Montana. The following are the reporter's questions and CTC's responses:

Reporter's Question 1: I heard that the Colorado Tire Corporation has a $1.8 million judgment. Federal agents are looking for you. Your employees shall be liable for it. What's your comment?

CTC's Answer: This is a false claim. It is absolutely not true. To date, there is not any judgment against Colorado Tire Corporation anywhere in the world. We don't know where the claim comes from but we would advise not reporting it since it is a false allegation. Our attorney would be happy to talk to you for clarifications. Any irresponsible statement or false claim in an attempt to damage our reputation will not be acceptable.

Reporter's Question 2: What does Colorado Tire plan to do with the Kono building?

CTC's Answer: Colorado Tire Corporation is a different company who manages the Kono Building at this moment and stating otherwise would be incorrect. While we appreciate your doing a story on the Kono Building, please check your facts and report them accurately without any prejudice.

Reporter's Question 3: Is the building currently generating revenue? How much?

CTC's Answer: As stated earlier, Colorado Tire Corporation is not in the managing position at the building. As a private business, Colorado Tire Corporation is not in the position to discuss finances with any third party, especially with any public; this is against federal law.

Reporter's Question 4: Are there tenants in the building? Are there virtual tenants? If so, how many? Can I talk to them?

CTC's Answer: As stated earlier, Colorado Tire Corporation is not in a managing position at the building. As a private business, no matter who is working in the building, Colorado Tire Corporation is not in the position to discuss it with any third party; this is against the federal law.

Reporter's Question 5: Are there Colorado Tire Corporation employees in the Kono building? Can the Kono building safely be occupied by employees of a business?

CTC's Answer: Yes, of course, the building is safe enough for any employee to work in it.

When CTC received the building, GSA had worked in the building for about 5 decades. Not any person has ever suffered any illness caused by any building material factors in the building. According to GSA's quality assurance to CTC, the building's maintenance history and CTC's scientific test throughout the building, there is no reason to question the safety of the building.

Unfortunately, some rumors in the local community have come to our attention. Obviously, the rumors originated from people who have a lack of scientific knowledge and the maintenance of this building.

CTC may seek any and all lawful means to claim any of its losses that have been or will be caused by any rumor spread in the local community by those who knowingly spread false information regarding CTC and/or the building.

Further, as a private business, no matter who is working in the building, Colorado Tire Corporation is not in the position to discuss it with any third party, which is against the federal law.

Reporter's Question 6: Has the Colorado Tire Corporation sold a tire? Where? How many? Can we talk to the person who bought them?

CTC's Answer: This is not a valid question about the story you are trying to write. Your planned story is NOT about the Colorado Tire Corporation. Reporter's Question 7: Is the Kono Building project an EB-5 project? Which regional EB5 site is sponsoring the project?

CTC's Answer:

First, let's clarify that your question shows you do not properly understand the EB-5 regulation per federal law. EB-5 is a federal regulation set forth by the Congress to stimulate economic development and create jobs throughout USA. This regulation defines 2 programs under EB-5: 1) EB-5 Regular Program, and 2) EB-5 Pilot Program. Per the regulation, any project in USA, no matter where a project is located, as long as it will create at least 10 jobs, is qualified to accept investor/s under either of the EB-5 programs. We recommend that you study the federal law and discuss with EB-5 lawyers before you ask such questions.
