Greek stalemate continues, markets open lower

The markets opened lower with the Dow losing 28 points to 18,087 as the stalemate between Greece and Europe continued. Nasdaq slipped 13 points to 5,119.

On the upside

AirMedia (Nasdaq: AMCN) received an offer from chairman and chief executive Herman Man Guo to take the company private.

Jana Partners acquired a 7.2% stake in ConAgra Foods (NYSE: CAG).

Harvest Natural Resources (NYSE: HNR) raised $32.2 million through the sale of senior secured and convertible notes.

On the downside

Healthways (Nasdaq: HWAY) cut its full year revenue forecast.

Profit taking weighed down shares of SouFun Holdings (NYSE: SFUN).

Raymond James downgraded Finisar (Nasdaq: FNSR) from a Strong Buy rating to an Outperform rating.

In the broad market, declining issues outpaced advancers by a margin of more than 9 to 7 on both the NYSE and on Nasdaq. The broader S&P 500 lost 2 points to 2118. Bitcoin slipped $3 to $244.
