“We are privileged to announce the addition of Tom L. Ward to Nopetro’s Board of Directors,” said Jorge Herrera, co-founder and CEO of Nopetro. “It is an honor to have someone of his professional caliber lending his expertise as we expand Nopetro’s presence across the U.S.”

“I am pleased to have an investment in Nopetro,” said Ward. “Nopetro has proven itself as an innovator in making CNG more readily available to the public. I look forward to supporting the company in its growth.”

Established in 2007, Nopetro has solid prowess in developing and running successful CNG fueling operations. The company currently operates the nation’s first public-private partnership for CNG fueling - a P3 in the state’s capital, with the City of Tallahassee, Leon County and Leon County Schools. Nopetro’s facility has far surpassed expectations, exceeding initial projected usage by 300 percent and now dispensing nearly 1 million gallons per year.

Nopetro is currently implementing CNG P3 projects with the Central Florida Regional Transportation Authority (LYNX), St. Johns County and Charlotte County Public Schools, to complement Nopetro’s existing facility in Leon County and growing network throughout the Southeast. Nopetro is also collaborating with Karsan, one of the world’s leading bus manufacturers, on an innovative multi-faceted proposal to convert Miami-Dade County trucks and buses to CNG.
