Company Creating A More Efficient and More Effective Healthcare Experience
PRLog - June 30, 2015 - ATLANTA -- Clearwave Corporation announced today the introduction of its newest offering called Express Check-In. Express Check-in offers hospitals and clinics the ability to give patients an express option, allowing them to check in for their appointment even more quickly than before. By implementing the Clearwave platform and registration stations, Clearwave customers have dramatically reduced the time their patients spend filling out forms and waiting in the waiting room. This new tool allows customers to create a “Fast Lane” further streamlining the process for their patients and cutting down the time they spend in the waiting room.

During the first day of its release at a multi-hospital healthcare system, the Express Check-In resulted in a 60% reduction in the time it takes patients to check themselves in at the kiosk. Check-in time was an average of 41 seconds. Express Check-In is designed to recognize patients who have visited the practice in the last 30-days, and allow those patients to rapidly check-in without having to navigate as many screens as standard check-ins. Express Check-In, while much faster, still covers all the necessary updates the patient needs to see for the visit, such as: consents, payment and eligibility verification.

“We are always trying to find new ways to streamline the front office process because it benefits both patients and providers,” commented Eric Anderson, COO of Clearwave Corporation. Express Check-In shows the patient what they need to update, while consolidating the number of screens shown. While much faster for the patient, all data is still verified so that the practice has access to the most up to date insurance and demographic information. At the end of the session, if the patient owes a balance, they will also have the option to pay at the kiosk.

“It’s not just about having the fastest check-in for us, but about having the best patient experience. Less screens for the patient means more efficiency during check-in. When patients take an average of 43 seconds to check-in, they notice the difference, and that leaves them with a better experience without the feeling of wasted time,” stated Gerard White, President of Clearwave Corporation.
