PRLog - July 1, 2015 - PHILADELPHIA -- Late in the evening Monday PACT, the Greater Philadelphia Alliance for Capital and Technologies, announced the winners of the the PACT Wayfinding App Challenge after a round of intense live judging at the Independence Blue Cross Innovation Center.

Independence Blue Cross and the University of Pennsylvania sponsored the night’s app competitions. First place winners of each app category received $30,000. The second place winners received $10,000.

The @UPenn Xperience, won first place in the challenge’s enterprise mobile track. RTP Holdings designed the @UPenn Experience application, Organic Grid beautified the app, and we at Sempercon developed, tested and deployed the mobile application and backend functions. SemperCon’s extensive experience developing geo-location technologies, enterprise mobile apps, and geo-fencing solutions, made for an ideal scrum team capable of engaging in rapid system development.

President of Sempercon, Rick O’Brien celebrated, saying, “We are excited to be recognized for our work on this geo-location powered, Augmented Reality app. We look forward to working with RTP Holdings and the University of Penn to further commercialize the technology.”

Founder and Managing Director of RTP Holdings, Chet Dagit reflected on the win, saying, “We’ve come up with an exceptionally unique mobile solution for the greater Penn and broader Philadelphia tourism and hospitality community.”

The winning mobile app’s position-enabled framework makes it easy for community groups to quickly create personalized mobile apps that improve upon services like Foursquare and Yelp with a Search Nearby feature that works both indoors and outdoors.
