SEATTLE, W.A. and KANSAS CITY - July 16, 2015 - (Newswire.com)

Ebbets Field Flannels, original makers of historic baseball wear, have concluded a new agreement with the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum to exclusively carry the Museum’s “Authentic Black Diamond Collection” label, on all the company’s authentic Negro leagues apparel products. Ebbets Field Flannels was the first to offer accurate historically-researched Negro leagues jerseys, jackets, and caps in 1988. The American-made products are identical to those originally worn on-field by the players. “We are thrilled to have the imprimatur of the Black Diamond Collection on our products”, said EFF founder Jerry Cohen. “Working with the Museum will help us tell the story of the Negro leagues and their rich history through our products, as well as support the efforts of the Museum to educate the public.” EFF’s merchandise is available at ebbets.com and selected retailers.

ABOUT NEGRO LEAGUE BASEBALL MUSEUM:

Founded in Kansas City, MO in 1990, the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum (NLBM) is the world’s only museum dedicated to preserving and celebrating the rich history of African-American baseball and its impact on the social advancement of America. The privately funded, 501 c3, not-for-profit organization operates two blocks from the Paseo YMCA where Andrew “Rube” Foster established the Negro National League in 1920. The NLBM opened its doors to the public in a tiny, one-room office space in 1991 with a dream of building a permanent facility that would pay rightful tribute to America’s unsung baseball heroes. In November of 1997, under the leadership of its late chairman John “Buck” O’Neil, that dream became a reality when the NLBM moved into its new home. In July of 2006, the NLBM received National Designation from the United States Congress as “America’s National Negro Leagues Baseball Museum.”
