2015 California Workers' Compensation & Risk Conference and Expo Announces Keynote Speakers

Three-Day Educational Event to Feature Actor, Best-Selling Author, Advocate and U.S. Army Veteran J.R. Martinez

Risk Management Education Associates announced the keynote speakers for the 2015 California Workers’ Compensation & Risk Conference. The annual conference and expo will be held Sept. 29 through Oct. 2, at the St. Regis Monarch Beach hotel in Dana Point, Calif.

The 5th annual event will include more than 35 breakout sessions and cover a variety of risk management topics such as safety, insurance and workers’ compensation. The conference and expo will feature 150 exhibits, 120 speakers, a charity golf tournament and a fun Roaring 20s casino night.

David Lanier
Keynote Speaker – Oct. 2, 11 a.m.
As Secretary of the California Labor and Workforce Development Agency, David Lanier oversees the state departments and boards that enforce labor and occupational safety laws, provide state disability and unemployment insurance benefits, fund workforce training and apprenticeship programs, protect injured workers, and arbitrate public sector contract disputes.

Christine Baker
Keynote Speaker – Oct. 2, 11 a.m.
As Director of the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR), Christine Baker leads the department’s effort to improve working conditions for California’s wage earners, and advance opportunities for profitable employment. DIR includes California OSHA, the Labor Commissioner’s Office, the Division of Workers’ Compensation, the Division of Apprenticeship Standards and six boards, commissions and programs.
