7 Painted Axe Guitars in Promotional/Fundraising Events this October

Festivals, Special Events, Nonprofits Find Good Will & Profit in Custom Painted Guitars

JACKSONVILLE, FL, September 03, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Three U.S. music festivals and the Legendary Rhythm & Blues Cruise will be featuring seven different Painted Axe guitars in promotional and fundraising efforts this October.

The King Biscuit Blues Festival of Helena, AR, (Oct. 7-10) and its executive director commissioned three guitars, two of which will be signed by performers and raffled. Proceeds go back to the festival. This is the sixth consecutive year Painted Axe has worked with the KBBF. More than hundred and fifty miles south, the Crescent City Blues and BBQ Festival of New Orleans (Oct. 16-18) will be auctioning their guitar. This is the third straight year the CCBBF has requested a guitar. Proceeds go to the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival & Foundation.

The Mighty Mississippi Music Festival of Greenwood, MS, (Oct. 2-4) the newcomer to the Painted Axe stable, plans to raffle its commission.

Meanwhile back on the high seas, the Legendary Rhythm & Blues Cruise (Oct. 24-31) will be auctioning an LRBC guitar as well as the Painted Axe guitar commissioned for the opening of the Blues Hall of Fame in Memphis, May 7.

"October has always been an outstanding month for Painted Axe, but this year it's off the charts," said Michael Gauf of Painted Axe. "We started designing and painting in July to ensure we met deadlines for all our October clients and exceeded expectations."

In addition, "with the assistance of Danie Cortese and DCE International Publicity, Painted Axe is aggressively trying to expand into other musical genres. Blues is and always will be our base, but our product is a natural for rock, country and, especially, metal."

"The guitar is universally recognizable and alluring. We accentuate its value with highly unique and distinctive custom painting at a very affordable price," continued Gauf. "We focus on making every guitar an extension of the artist's or event's character. Each guitar is personal."

Gauf referenced the Mighty Mississippi Music Festival. "The area is a farming and music community that fervently supports the three-year old event. We wanted to make sure those characteristics were prominent."

Whether auctioned or raffled, it's not uncommon for Painted Axe guitars to realize a 300-400% return on investment, particularly when performers sign the guitars. Moreover, "It's our experience that when people attend concerts, festivals and special events, they want to maximize the experience. They want to take a piece of it home with them. It's a memory - and a reminder for next year. Painted Axe represents one more way for fans to connect with the artists and bring home an enduring memory of the experience while cementing the client's role in making it happen."

Typically, a guitar project encompasses about one month, from design approval to reapplying the electronics and hardware. Clients provide the guitar to be customized. Pricing starts at $300.
