Brazilian-American Chamber Celebrates Brazil's Independence and Launches New Business Programs

By: PRLog
MIAMI - Sept. 4, 2015 - PRLog -- As the local Brazilian-American community prepares to celebrate Brazil’s Independence on September 7th, the Brazilian-American Chamber of Commerce of Florida (BACCF) is putting the final touches on its traditional Annual Independence Gala Dinner, to take place at the Four Seasons Hotel on September 12th, 2015 at 8pm. The Gala serves not only as the Chamber’s yearly landmark event, but also as the largest gathering of high profile companies and business people engaged in the fostering the bilateral commercial relationship between the two countries.

Prominently known for being one of the most active organizations in South Florida, the BACCF promotes an average of 50 events per year, a legacy that began during the 1980s, as the Chamber initiated a series of monthly luncheons featuring prominent speakers involved in Brazil-USA business issues. The luncheons quickly became popular venues for the exchange of ideas within the business community.

In the past year, the Chamber’s President, Marilyn Blanco-Reyes, created the BACCF CEO Series, a lively forum bringing together CEOs of leading corporations to offer their perspectives and insights into doing business in Brazil. Featured speakers include the CEOs of Azul Airlines, Boeing Brazil, Discovery Channel, Embraer, FedEx Express Latin America and Caribbean, General Electric Brazil, Harley-Davidson, and TAM Airlines.

The Chamber also expanded the BACCF Seminar on “How to do Business in the U.S.” In its 11th edition, the seminar is a unique opportunity to become more knowledgeable about entering the market or learning how to expand a company’s reach to the United States. Held in Portuguese, the program targets Brazilian businesses and professionals interested in moving to, or recently arrived in, the U.S.

Whether celebrating its roots, bringing world-class speakers to South Florida, or creating resourceful networking opportunities, the BACCF plays an ongoing and critical role in the growing relationship between Brazil and Florida.
