My Payment Network, Inc. Announces Signature Partnership with Blackboard K12’s Leading Mobile Notifications and eCommerce Solutions Unite
MADISON, Wis. - Sept. 16, 2015 - PRLog -- Today My Payment Network announced a custom integration between the SchoolPay system and the Blackboard ParentLink community engagement app. The integration brings a superior experience for parents that use ParentLink and SchoolPay, allowing seamless workflows between the two systems and targeted push functions tied to select school fee payments.

“We couldn’t be more thrilled to partner with Blackboard. We share a vision to serve fragmented and challenging school operations that impact every student, parent and staff member with efficient enterprise-level solutions. When communication and payments are centralized, districts save money, operate more efficiently, and enhance everyone’s academic experience. With more than 30% of our school payments already coming from mobile, integrating SchoolPay with the leader in mobile messaging was a natural next step,” said David Dunaway, President and CEO of My Payment Network, Inc.

Chris Crawford, Vice President of Community Engagement at Blackboard added, “A growing percentage of communication to K-12 parents involves payment for required and optional school expenses. However, parents demand a secure, rapid and intuitive payment experience – especially on mobile devices. Blackboard and SchoolPay meet this demand through the experience where parents already interact -- the district’s mobile app. ParentLink integrated with SchoolPay’s powerful payment engine makes the solution seamless for parents.”

The integration between the Blackboard ParentLink app and SchoolPay allows SchoolPay district customers to make any item available for payment to the school, district, or even non-profit affiliated with the district, appear in Blackboard’s ParentLink mobile environment. In addition, every Blackboard ParentLink app customer who activates the integration will have access to SchoolPay’s Marketplace, a group of select products and services parents frequently pay for in the name of their child’s education, such as tutoring, school supplies, etc. These features are offered in a unified checkout, making the payment process simple and easy to navigate.

The Blackboard-SchoolPay integration is available to users of both services and will be available in the 2015-2016 school year.
