The Hoosier State is Ground Zero for International Challenge of Judicial Misconduct

“Americans overwhelmed by the futility of seeking domestic relief for U.S. legal system abuse are our political base. But in once again positioning Indiana authorities to consider what we know is compelling evidence of judicial misconduct, we are poised to help prove or disprove America’s commitment to liberty wherever it may be articulated. The time has come for America to circle its proverbial wagons around embattled Americans living the nightmare of entrenched U.S. legal system abuse”
CROWN POINT, Ind. - Sept. 30, 2015 - PRLog -- By priority mail late yesterday, the co-founders of an Indiana nonprofit legal reform organization asked the Indiana House Judiciary Committee and the U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Indiana to investigate several area judges whose activities may be part of what has been dubbed “The Third Degree” (TTD). According to the investigation request, “(p)erpetration of TTD entails a convergence ... of unethical if not criminal state, federal, and international human rights violations involving but not limited to U.S. government officials including judges.” In reporting TTD to Indiana officials, Mr. Rodney A. Logal, his wife attorney Zena Crenshaw-Logal, and Dr. Andrew D. Jackson describe themselves as “Indiana residents and ... founding board members of National Judicial Conduct and Disability Law Project, Inc. (NJCDLP)”, a good government advocate reportedly focused on “troubling aspects of America’s entire legal system”.

On September 15, 2015, 38 NGOs (non-governmental organizations) representing thousands of Americans submitted a joint letter to the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee asking that it work towards eliminating obstacles to Americans challenging human rights violations such as TTD before U.N. working committees. NJCDLP is spearheading the campaign known as Opt IN USA. The Logals and Dr. Jackson note to the Indiana House Judiciary Committee and U.S. Attorney David Capp that “(i)n the meantime, countless Americans are at risk of being subjected to TTD, many are already targets of the insidious human rights violation, and U.S. courts (state and federal) remain a regular source of mistreatment proscribed by the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR) and the Convention against Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment (CAT).”

Crenshaw-Logal, whose bar admissions are limited to the U.S. Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals, explains that in focusing on their personal legal difficulties, she and her fellow NJCDLP co-founders have made Indiana ground-zero for reframing the problem of unchecked judicial misconduct in America. She says, “Americans overwhelmed by the futility of seeking domestic relief for U.S. legal system abuse are our political base. But in once again positioning Indiana authorities to consider what we know is compelling evidence of judicial misconduct, we are poised to help prove or disprove America’s commitment to liberty wherever it may be articulated. Hopefully others will be encouraged and do likewise across America. Initially our emphasis is not so much on anyone’s legal difficulties, but more the prospect of them evidencing the pattern of persecution and torture that is TTD.” Crenshaw-Logal continued, “(t)he time has come for America to circle its proverbial wagons around embattled Americans living the nightmare of entrenched U.S. legal system abuse; not the ethically challenged but often esteemed jurists and lawyers who make it happen. My colleagues and I cannot vouch for the impeccability of everyone claiming to have suffered legal system corruption, but whether U.S. officials have fairly addressed their allegations tends to be clear.” Already the prospect of retaliation for related advocacy has emerged.

Through a court document enclosed with their referenced correspondence, the Logals and Dr. Jackson describe some disturbing, recent developments for Indiana’s House Judiciary Committee, U.S. Attorney Capp, and the copied recipients, Indiana’s Black Legislative Caucus as well as U.S. Representative Peter Visclosky (D-IN). The filed-stamped court paper with exhibits (3, 4, 5, 6, 7) detail a saga of alleged judicial bias, record tampering, potential fraud on the Lake Circuit Court, and questionable legal arguments involving Indiana court administrators, the court clerk, judges, law enforcement officers, and public sector as well as private sector attorneys. Supposedly, “(o)nce the Logals commenced their referenced Circuit Court Action for Mandate on July 13, 2015, unknown intruders began to leave distinct evidence of frequenting the Logal home late at night or during early morning hours. On or about September 22, 2015, a spare trunk key magnetized to the Logal family car was apparently used to access the trunk, and the spare tire inside was left dramatically slashed.”

Dr. Jackson added, “Too many Americans are contending with various forms of government intimidation. But for the perpetrators, these brazen acts can be the double-edged sword that cuts past fear and through corruption to accountability. After all, nothing is more frightening than the thought of America totally surrendered to public serpents disguised as public servants.” Expansion of Opt IN USA beyond outreach to the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee is being coordinated by Opt IN USA campaign administrators. Additional NGO letters will go out to certain U.S. Ambassadors and other international leaders. State focused advocacy such as the Logals and Dr. Jackson have undertaken in Indiana will be a collaborative effort among Opt IN USA participants across America.
