The Sixth Annual ACEDS conference culminated with the inaugural awards ceremony honoring a number of professionals across the industry. Individuals were nominated by their peers and winners were selected by an independent panel of distinguished industry experts. Robin was nominated for the award by her peers who noted, among other things, her service to the profession, her dedication to multiple industry associations, and her never ending drive to provide one of the best educational programs available, including the industry’s first cyclical education series.
“There were seven professionals nominated for this award, and just being included among them was an incredible honor. Receiving this award from my peers is the highlight of my professional career, and inspires and energizes me to continue serving, mentoring and educating,” said Thompson.
The ACEDS Lifetime Achievement Award is the second such honor bestowed on Robin in the past year. Last November, The Stevies, which honor women in business, presented Robin with the Silver Lifetime Achievement Award for her service to the eDiscovery, Information Governance and Records Management communities.
