The Center is in its sixth year of a fifteen year award and is composed of three university sites:  the University of California, San Diego (UCSD), the University of Utah (UU) and the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC), as well as eighteen industry and government members including Dell Research™, NSA, Northrup Grumman™, NASA, LexisNexis™, NIST, D-Wave™ and the FDA.

CMTC’s technology is expected to be of great assistance with several research studies that the Center has been conducting, particularly in the Health IT area. We look forward to working closely with their team led by Simon Schurr, CMTC’s founder and CEO in utilizing CMTC’s groundbreaking technology in several health projects,” commented Dr. Yelena Yesha, Director, UMBC CHMPR. “The US healthcare market has major cost challenges and CHMPR appreciates how CMTC’s technology may improve productivity in several ways.”

CMTC’s core product is its Physician Collaboration Platform (PCP) which aggregates and organizes disparate data sources to create and share a composite patient record that replaces inefficient and fragmented communications with a turnkey, on-demand, web-based solution. CMTC’s PCP enables healthcare professionals and their patients and caregivers to collaborate with multiple specialists anywhere in the world by sharing a patient’s relevant medical records, diagnosis and treatment plans, and radiology images in DICOM providing high-definition diagnostic quality which is readable on any internet-ready device. Interaction among these healthcare professionals is provided through a secure web portal to maximize accuracy, privacy and efficiency.

“We look forward to having the CMTC team work with the CHMPR and its members on a number of projects related to health,” said Morgan Crafts, Chairman of CHMPR’s Industry Advisory Board and Director, Technology Health IT at Northrop Grumman Information Systems. “CMTC’s collaborative technology should enable the Center to accelerate several current projects.”

“Our PCP can assist greatly with increasing productivity (less time spent and better health outcomes) for physicians, patients and payers by speeding up appointment-scheduling with the doctor, while providing the doctor with the necessary medical information to assess the patient’s situation," said Mr. Schurr, who also noted that CMTC is looking forward to working with CHMPR on high level healthcare projects.
