The Precision-SSS: Incredible, Innovative Sports-Science Wearable Technology

Wearable Technology for athletes to reduce the risk of injuries & improve performance

LONDON, United Kingdom – November 17, 2015 – The Precision-SSS, standing for “Sports Science System”, is the next-generation wearable EPTS (Electronic Performance & Tracking System), capable of assessing biomechanical fatigue and deterioration of performance of the individual(s) wearing the device. Developed at the European Space Agency (ESA), it uses the latest in high positional accuracy GPS technology from the ESA and advanced body and inertial motion sensors. The Precision-SSS can be summarized into three key uses, to prevent, to prepare, and to perform. They also have a sister technology to go with the Precision-SSS, called PrecisionNET.

PrecisionNET is their “Sports Science Support & Analytics Service” that they provide to all their teams, athletes, and users who use the Precision-SSS. PrecisionNET is composed of two aspects, Machine-Learning A.I. and Sports Science Support Team. PrecisionNET is a machine-learning system that has been designed to build a “Predictive Injury & Performance Model” based on the data captured from all teams, sports and all athletes/users. Then, adds the data into a large sample size allowing it to identify trends at a much faster rate than current methods, which it then applies to the individual needs for all its athletes. This service, a core of sports science, is now being opened to the rest of the world, to all athletes of all levels.

The Precision-SSS is more than just a “fitness wearable”, but is a “sports science wearable”, the next evolution of fitness wearables. In short, think of it like this; Current wearables give a user “descriptive” data; they tell them what they’ve done, which is fine for many, but what The Precision-SSS is trying to do is take things forward. The Precision-SSS (along with PrecisionNET) is built to not only give a user descriptive data but make that data “predictive” (telling the user what their body is going to do) and “prescriptive” (tells a user what they should do). They want to make data actionable, not just in hindsight. How many times have users bought a wearable tech super-excited, as it pumps out a host of data, and then after a few weeks, asked themselves “now what?” That is the experience of just descriptive data. However, before athletes can use this next-generation technology, The Precision-SSS needs help. That’s why they launched this Kickstarter campaign. The goal of this project is to raise £40,500 by December 13, 2015. The funds raised will go towards production costs.

To help bring this innovative sports-science wearable technology to market, please visit the Kickstarter campaign or click here. Perks will be delivered between December 2015 and March 2016.

Please keep in mind this is an “all-or-nothing” deal, which means if the campaign does not reach the funding goal then the project cannot move forward. So know that any amount given can make a difference, and this is an incredible opportunity to be a part of a special campaign! Help The Precision-SSS reach the goal by sharing this on Facebook, Twitter, and other social networks. The more people know about this, the more support the campaign will receive.
