The Production Process
To create the skateboard deck, a polycarbonate sheet is cut to the desired shape by using a CNC cutting machine. Then eight holes for the truck mount are drilled with a drilling rig on the edges of the deck. Next the deck is heated to a ductile-forming temperature and molded into the desired shape. This process is called thermoforming. To give the deck a smooth finish, deburring is performed. Lastly, to print the desired patterns/text on the deck, silkscreen printing is used.
