Atlanta Urgent Care Leader Acquires Two More Centers in Villa Rica and Canton

CRH Healthcare acquires MD Minor Emergency and Family Medicine, increasing its Atlanta network to 16 centers serving over 170,000 patients per year.
ATLANTA - Dec. 8, 2015 - PRLog -- CRH Healthcare (CRH), a quality- and patient-focused operator of urgent care centers in Alabama and Georgia, acquired the assets of MD Minor Emergency and Family Medicine on December 1 from Dr. Charles Cooley.  Both centers are well-established leaders in their communities with experienced physicians and support staff serving the walk-in urgent care needs of patients in the area. With this acquisition, CRH operates the largest, most comprehensive network of 16 Atlanta-area urgent care centers under the Physicians Immediate Med and Peachtree Immediate Care brands. While physicians in each center will continue to lead each medical practice, CRH will lead a team of operators that will manage the practices’ non-clinical operations focused on delivering a patient experience that lives up to the tag line, Get in. Get out. Get Better.TM

CRH plans to consolidate all Atlanta area locations under the recognizable Peachtree Immediate Care brand during first quarter of 2016. The consistent brand will signal an efficient, quality patient experience as well as the convenience of cross-center medical records and coordinated care. Additionally, the network will offer employers more location choices for occupational health services; thereby, making it more convenient for employees and employers alike. In addition to the very capable staff, all the centers have extensive lab capabilities and digital x-rays onsite, allowing patients to be seen for nearly all non-life-threatening medical issues without the long wait or high costs of an emergency room.

“Over the years, many groups approached me to acquire these centers but I felt that CRH brought the best team, skills, and network to further build on our ten years of success,” said Dr. Cooley, the founder of MD Minor Emergency and Family Medicine. The acquisition, CRH’s fifth in less than three years, is part of CRH Healthcare’s growth strategy in the greater Atlanta metro region, which is part of a broader southeastern strategy that also includes three centers in Huntsville, AL operated under the Urgent Medcare brand.
