Cocoon Networks, a China Investor, Opens $707 Million Fund in London

Cocoon Networks, a startup China investment firm, has set up shop in London with a $707 million fund that plans to back innovative companies. Cocoon was formed by two China investment companies, China Equity Group and Hanxin Capital. Valuations are more attractive in Europe, said Cocoon, and it wants to help British and European companies expand to China. Cocoon, which will form an incubator with University College London, expects to make investments in fintech, biotech, medical devices and UK "creative tech" companies. More details....
