He is double board certified in Colorectal Surgery and General Surgery, and is a Fellow of the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons and of the New Hampshire Chapter of  American College of Surgeons.

With over 10 years dedicated to medicine, Dr. Flannery​​ brings a wealth of knowledge to his industry, and in particular, to his area of expertise, colorectal surgery. When asked why he decided to pursue a career in medicine, Dr. Flannery​​ said:

"My keen interest in the complexity of human physiology and disease coupled with my strong desire to serve others and improve their quality of life, led me to choose a career in medicine."

As a thought-leader in his field, Dr. Flannery consistently strives to offer his patients state of the art treatments delivered in a compassionate manner. Dr. Flannery is a partner at Colon & Rectal Surgery of New England and a specialized surgeon at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center. In addition, he holds privileges at two other local community hospitals. Prior to establishing his practice at Colon & Rectal Surgery of New England, he spent six years practicing in Atlanta, Georgia where he served as the chief of General and Colorectal surgery at Emory St. Joseph’s Hospital. In November of 2012 Dr. Flannery began practicing in Nashua, New Hampshire. Having grown up just over the border in Groton, Massachusetts, he welcomed the occasion to return to New England and is privileged to have the opportunity to care for patients in his hometown area. Dr. Flannery’s surgical skills and his dedication to the highest level of patient care have come to touch the lives of many patients in the community.
