ATLANTA - March 16, 2016 - PRLog -- Ascending Athletes (www.ascendingathletes.com), an organization dedicated to preparing current and former professional athletes, from all leagues, for a promising career after professional sports, has partnered with The Winston Group to host the 5th Business Symposium at the Atlanta Marriot Buckhead on March 22 - 23, 2016.
Current and former athlete attendees will have the opportunity to hear from industry leading experts regarding employment, franchising and business resources. Then, attendees will get a chance to develop interviewing skills as well as meet, network and participate in real-time interviews with decision makers from a mix of 35 top national employers, franchises and business resources.
Fran Tarkenton, former NFL player, Hall of Famer and successful entrepreneur, will be the keynote speaker for the business ownership session of the Business Symposium. After an 18-year career in the NFL that took him to the Hall of Fame, Fran dedicated his life to business, and over his 50 years as an Entrepreneur he has built more than 20 successful companies from the ground up, such as GoSmallBiz.com. Founded in 1996, GoSmallBiz.com has helped start, run and grow over 300,000 businesses.
The Business Symposium also features employment, personal branding, franchising and other business resource experts. This event brings together every option for transitioning players outside of sports and has already helped many professional athletes find success in their next careers.
State Farm and Off Tackle Finance are the two major sponsors for the 2016 Business Symposiums. This program's success is also due to the support of the NFL Player Engagement, NFL Alumni, The Trust (Powered by the NFLPA), NFLPA and the National Basketball Players Association. All of these resources allow the professional athletes to attend the Business Symposium for free.
Ascending Athletes and The Winston Group have two Business Symposiums each year. The second event of 2016 will take place in San Diego on August 12-13.
