Oklahoma City Marriage Counseling Practice Introduces New Innovative & Ground Breaking Marriage Saving Methods

New innovative and groundbreaking therapy is now available to Oklahoma City residents being offered by Marriage Solutions. Marriage Solutions has two locations in Oklahoma, one at 1800 N Shartel Ave Oklahoma City, OK, and the other in Tulsa. This method is called Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT) and is currently the only method with validated outcome research proving its effectiveness.

“There is no other method available in the world right now that boasts the results that EFT can,” says Brad Robinson, international affair recovery expert and owner of Marriage Solutions. “We now know what couples need in order to have a truly satisfying and long lasting relationship.”

Robinson states that according to the latest research, 86 to 90 percent of the couples receiving this therapy show significant improvement and 75 percent of those couples fully recovered from their marital problems within a few short months or even as little as 3 days in some cases.

“The most fascinating evidence shows that of the couples studied 90 percent maintained their improvement even 3 years after they finished therapy,” says Randee Tomlinson licensed marriage and family therapist and Master Therapist for Marriage Solutions OKC. “It’s incredibly exciting to be able to measure success and help couples to maintain their improvements over the long-term even through the most difficult circumstances.”

The therapy works with couples on common marital issues such as communication, intimacy, and trust. It also works for couples in complicated situations such as multiple affairs, death in the family, blended families, deep personal wounds, and serious traumas, depression, and anxiety. Those interested in learning more can contact the Oklahoma City location.

Marriage Solutions in OKC offers researched, centered counseling to married couples that is designed not only to get them through their current issues but to keep their relationship healthy for the long term.

Tomlinson says, “The difference in this method of counseling is that instead of the talking head approach, where the therapist regurgitates lines from popular books, the therapist facilitates bonding events where the couple begins to feel safe with each other again. They’re able to open up and share at a deeper emotional level with this method.”

When asked whether it would work for couples where one or both spouses are really closed off and guarded Tomlinson answered, “Absolutely! Those couples are the most exciting for me to see through the process because many times their spouse has never heard what they hear in sessions. It’s incredible. So many people come in nervous and leave with a renewed sense of excitement for their future.” For those interested in setting up an appointment with Tomlinson, parties can reach the office at 405-237-9697.

Robinson points out that too many therapists generalize and very few actually specialize in one area of expertise. This poses a problem because many therapists are not skilled in helping couples even though many believe they are. “You’d be leery of a cardiologist who was a part time chiropractor and veterinarian. At least he wouldn’t be your first choice.” He says that couples should take time to research and ask the right questions when visiting a therapist to ensure that their specific needs are being covered.

Marriage Solutions provides a free 3 video online orientation for couples, which can be found on the company's official website. Additional information and resources can be found on the company Facebook page.
