A Barron's article published over the weekend raised concerns about Fannie Mae (NYSE: FNM) and Freddie Mac (NYSE: FRE) which may need a government bailout since both companies may need to raise capital in amounts that exceed their current market capitalization. Shares of Fannie Mae plunged $1.49 to $6.42 while Freddie Mac stock tumbled $1.10 to $4.75.
