Insurers Rise Over Possible Government Aid

Shares of insurers MGIC Investment Corp. (NYSE: MTG) leaped $1.06 to close at $3.32, MBIA Inc. (NYSE: MBI) soared 97 cents to close at $4.49 and Ambac Financial Group Inc.(NYSE: ABK) surged 25 cents to close at $1.29 over anticipation that the government will take on bad assets from financial institutions.
