E*Trade Financial Corp. (Nasdaq: ETFC) posted a sizable loss of 41 cents per share compared with a loss of 20 cents per share last year as the online brokerage prepared to raise more capital to shore up its balance sheet. Analysts promptly downgraded the stock sending shares down 82 cents to $1.64.
