Earnings Plunge For Medtronic

Fourth quarter earnings for Medtronic Inc. (NYSE: MDT) plunged to 22 cents per share from 72 cents per share in the year ago period as expenses soared. The company also announced the elimination of 1,500 to 1,800 positions sending the stock price tumbling $2.49 to $31.47.
